"Bounce" Pilot Hopes To Get Picked Up For More

Usually Uni is the set for popular shows already on the air, such as Modern Family and It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia. However, in a rare instance, Uni is the set for a pilot. The new VH1 show, Bounce, filmed its pilot at Uni, in hopes that the show will be picked up and that the show will film at Uni more regularly that the other shows.
The show stars Dean Cain, famous for playing Superman in the 1996 show, Lois and Clark: The New Adventures of Superman. The show is about the dancers of a Los Angeles basketball team, the Devils. It follows the girls from auditions, to dealing with each other on a regular basis and getting on each other’s nerves.
Cain is far from Superman in his new role, a former player who is now the coach of the basketball team, who is forced to judge the auditions for the dancers.
Cain is really proud of the show, fully believing that the show will be picked up for more episodes (after airing) and will be successful, saying, “I absolutely hope it’ll be picked up. If I were a betting man, and I am, I would bet on it for sure.” The cast iself is already a family, and off-set they were playing with each other and joking around. A player walked up to Cain, referring to him as coach, and joked with him about drama on the “team.”
When asked about how he felt about working on the show, Cain said, “My job is to coach basketball, sometimes play basketball, and watch girls dance. So yes, I enjoy working on the show.” Cain has extreme pride in the show, admitting that if he could work on any other show, he wouldn’t because he enjoys working on Bounce so much.
Hopefully, the show does get picked up, and they film here more. Most students don’t enjoy filmng because of how it makes it dificult to get to their classes, but filming for Bounce is kept in the South Gym. It’s a win-win for students and the school.
