The "Real" Honeymoon

By Erin Klingler

The sun was just starting to set as Lois and Clark walked through
the doors of the hotel. They crossed the beautiful, expansive
lobby holding hands and snuggling up next to each other.

When they reached the front desk, Clark smiled at the clerk
standing behind it. "Hi. We need to check in. We have
reservations."

The desk clerk smiled pleasantly. "And the name, please?"

"Kent," Clark said. He looked over at Lois, a big smile crossing
his face, and she responded with a happy smile of her own.

The desk clerk punched a few keys on his computer. "Ah! Here we
are. Clark and Lois Kent."

Clark's smile widened. "That's it."

The desk clerk turned around to reach for the necessary paperwork
that needed to be filled out. When he turned back around, he saw
that the Kents were in the middle of a deep, passionate kiss.

"Ahem!" he said, pretending to clear his throat. Lois and Clark
quickly separated, looking sheepishly at the clerk. A smile crept
across the clerk's face as he handed them the paperwork. "If
you'll just fill this out, I'll get you your key."

As they filled out the paperwork to check in, the clerk eyed them
openly. It was obvious to him that these two were deeply in love
from the way they had their arms around each other, and stopped
whatever they were doing every minute or so to kiss or gaze
lovingly into each other's eyes.

They'd booked the honeymoon suite, so apparently they were
newlyweds. They'd probably just gotten married that very day. He
had worked at the hotel for a long time, and he could always tell
newlyweds by that rosy, *everything is perfect* glow they had
about them. And this couple wasn't any different. It was very
obvious to him and anybody else who took the time to look, that
they were very much in love.

When the papers were finally filled out, Clark slid them back to
the clerk. Just then the bellboy approached, offering to help
them with their two suitcases.

"Oh," the desk clerk said suddenly, having been reminded of
something. He looked over Clark's shoulder at the huge glass
doors at the front of the hotel. "Where's the airport shuttle? I
have a message for the driver."

"Ummm," Clark said, shifting his feet nervously. "We didn't take
the shuttle."

The desk clerk looked at him, obviously confused. "Well, then how
did you get here from the airport? The shuttle is the only way to
get here at this time of the evening."

Lois and Clark looked at each other, their mouths opened slightly
as they tried to think on their feet. They definitely couldn't
tell this man that they hadn't come from the airport because they
had taken the "Superman Express".

"We, uh ... " Clark stammered, looking over at Lois for help.

Lois jumped right in, saving him from making one of his famous
lousy excuses that she now knew and loved. "We had some friends
drop us off, but they've left already."

"Ah." The desk clerk nodded understandingly. "Well, no matter."
He turned to retrieve their room key and then handed it to Clark.
"Room 401, the honeymoon suite."

Clark glanced slyly out of the corner of his eye at Lois, who
smiled suggestively back at him. Then he turned his attention
back to the clerk. "Thank you." They turned and headed for the
elevator across the lobby where the bellboy was waiting with
their suitcases on a rolling cart. The bellboy gestured to their
two medium-sized suitcases. "Is this all the baggage you have?"
he asked, somewhat surprised. "Usually people checking in have
several more bags than this."

Clark shook his head. "Nope. That's all we brought." Then Clark
smiled wickedly at Lois, and said softly, "We're not going to
need many clothes." But as quietly as he said it, the bellboy
overheard and blushed slightly.

Once they were in the elevator, Lois wrapped her arms around
Clark's neck and kissed him deeply. Very quickly, their kiss
became more passionate. When the elevator finally came to a stop
on their floor, the bellboy had to clear his throat to bring them
out of their impassioned kiss. "Fourth floor," he announced
formally.

Looking disappointed at the interruption, Lois and Clark stepped
away from each other long enough to step out of the elevator and
into the hall. The bellboy maneuvered the luggage cart around
them and led the way to their room.

When they reached room 401, Clark pulled some bills from his
pocket and turned to the bellboy, handing him the tip. "Thanks
for your help. We can take it from here."

The bellboy thanked him, then disappeared into the elevator. Then
Lois and Clark were alone. Clark unlocked the door to their
suite, but before he pushed the door open, he looked at Lois and
smiled disarmingly. "Should I carry you over the threshold?"

Before Lois could respond, he swept her up into his arms. Lois
clung to his neck, and they laughed as Clark did some fancy
maneuvering to push the door open with his foot, then walk
through the doorway and into the room. Clark set her gently back
down on her feet once they were inside, and turned to shut the
door behind them.

"Wow!" Lois gasped as she looked around the luxurious suite. It
had an understated elegance about it that she loved. Everything
had been decorated in muted shades of tan and beige, and then
brightened by the vivid colors of tropical flowers that filled
vases throughout the room.

Clark watched as Lois walked further into the room, her mouth
open in pure delight as she explored the rest of the room. He'd
seen the whole suite before he'd booked it, so he just stood back
and enjoying watching Lois' reaction to it all.

She crossed the front room and went into the large bedroom,
openly eyeing the large king-sized bed. A door to her left opened
up into the bathroom, which was nearly as large as the bedroom.
It had a huge vanity with two sinks, a stand alone shower in one
corner, and a large jacuzzi tub in the other.

"Mmm," Lois said, raising her eyebrows at the tub, then turning
to smile giddily at Clark. "A tub big enough for two. That could
be interesting."

Clark laughed, but her implication was causing troubles she
didn't yet know about. Lois stepped out of the bathroom and
walked toward the windows and sliding glass doors at the far end
of the bedroom. When she pulled back the curtain sheers, she was
speechless.

She flipped the lock on the sliding glass door and stepped out
onto the large, private balcony which overlooked breathtaking
views of the ocean. She stood there for a long minute, enjoying
the sound of the waves crashing onto the beach, and watching as
the translucent blue waters rushed up onto the white sand of the
beach that seemed to go on and on.

Finally Lois stepped back into the room and slid the patio door
shut behind her. She turned to look into Clark's smiling face.
Smiling back at him happily, she stepped into his arms and slid
her arms around his neck. "This place is just amazing. I can't
believe how beautiful it is here."

Clark lifted his hand to smooth her hair back from her face
tenderly. "Oh, I don't know. I have something much more beautiful
to look at right in front of me." Then he leaned down and gave
her a long, lingering kiss.

A few moments later, Clark felt, rather than saw Lois smile. He
pulled back slightly so that he could look down into her face.
"What's so funny?"

Lois couldn't stop the smile from spreading across her face. "I
just can't believe that it's finally happened! We're actually
married."

Clark cradled her face gently in his hands and gently brushed his
thumbs across her cheeks. "I know. It's incredible. I just can't
believe it has taken *so* long." He sighed a deep, happy sigh.
"But we don't have to worry any more about clones, amnesia, or
the myriad of other problems we've had, because," he paused to
give her a soft kiss. "We finally belong to each other."

Lois was touched by his words, and she felt happy tears come to
her eyes. "I love you, Clark."

Clark stroked her cheek lovingly, smiling softly into her eyes.
"I love you, too, Lois."

Then he leaned down and kissed her. It was a sweet, gentle kiss,
but it quickly became deeper and more passionate. When they
finally broke apart, they were both breathless. Lois shivered
slightly. Their kisses had never been like this before, and it
left Lois wanting, and needing more. Much more.

She looked up into Clark's warm, brown eyes and saw the love and
desire for her sparkling in them unmistakably. Unable to deny the
rush of hunger she felt for him, she met his kiss halfway,
quickly ignited fires of passion.

Lois broke from their kiss to place a trail of kisses starting at
his earlobe and working her way down his jaw-line. When she
reached his chin, she continued on down his throat. Clark closed
his eyes, reveling in her gentle kisses. He wrapped his arms
around her more tightly and pulled her even closer, pleasuring in
the way it felt to have her body pressed tightly against his.

Lois slid her arm around to his back and tugged at his shirt
tails, freeing them from his waistband. Clark moaned softly as
she slipped her hand underneath his shirt and caressed the smooth
skin of his back, feeling the taught muscles that were now tense
with desire.

She continued to work her way down his throat with her kisses,
and when she reached the top of his shirt collar, she
concentrated momentarily on kissing the curve of his throat. Her
fingers reached up to the top button of his shirt, almost as if
they were acting on their own free will. Slowly, almost
imperceptibly, she worked at undoing the buttons one by one,
taking the time to kiss the bare skin exposed by her efforts. The
slow, methodical way she was going about it was driving Clark
absolutely crazy with desire. It was all he could do to not
completely lose his self control.

Finally the front of his shirt hung open, giving Lois easy access
to his firm stomach. She ran her fingers over his washboard
stomach, her feather-light touches making his skin feel like it
was on fire.

Clark moved his hands from her hips and slid them slowly to the
small of her back, then moving them upward, caressing her softly
through the fabric of her dress as he went. When he reached her
shoulders, he felt for the catch of her zipper, moaning softly as
he felt her hands move lower still on his stomach.

Feeling what little bit of control he had left leave him, he
pulled the zipper of her dress down, running his fingers lightly
against her skin as he did. She stopped her fresh explorations to
gasp at the touches that made her insides quiver in eager
anticipation. The sound of the zipper unzipping exploded in
Clark's ears, amplified a hundred times over and causing his
excitement to build to new levels. The zipper undone, Clark moved
his hands to her shoulders and the dress slid to the floor.

Lois looked up into his dark brown eyes that were now glazed with
desire and slid his shirt off of him, letting it join her dress
in a pile at their feet.

Unable to resist her a moment longer, Clark scooped her up into
his strong arms and carried her across the room to the bed. He
set her down gently on it, and lowered himself on top of her. She
liked the way his body felt pressing solidly down on her own,
making her feel safe in a way she had never before known.

Clark concentrated on the smooth, creamy skin of her throat,
setting it on fire with his light, feathery kisses. She sighed
with pleasure as he traced a trail of kisses along the curve of
her shoulder and collarbone, then worked his way back up to the
sensitive spot behind her ear. Finally he captured her lips with
his own, and their kiss sent a course of red-hot desire rushing
through Lois.

Their kiss deepened even further, and their breathing became
heavy. Clark slipped an arm around her waist and then in one
quick motion, pulled her over on top of him. Lois reached up to
move one of the throw pillows out of the way, and in the process
knocked the phone next to them off the hook.

"Mmm ... " Lois mumbled into Clark's mouth as she fumbled for the
phone. A second later, she waved her hand at it. "Oh, forget it,"
she muttered, going back to delighting in Clark's passionate
kisses.

Clark rolled them over again, pinning her underneath him. He
pulled away from their kiss for a moment, looking down into her
flushed face. "Lois," he said breathlessly. "Are you sure you're
ready for this?"

Lois nodded seriously. "We've waited for this moment for a long,
*long* time. I'm *definitely* ready."

A smile curved across Clark's lips. "I have a feeling this is
going to be a night to remember."

***

The next morning, Lois was awakened by the warm sunlight
streaming across her face. At first she couldn't remember where
she was. But when she opened her eyes, it all came back to her in
a rush.

Clark's face was only inches from hers, and Lois spent the next
few minutes just watching him as he slept, her love for him
nearly bursting through her chest. He looked so perfect lying
there next to her. The soft beams of sunlight played across his
features, and Lois took them all in--his soft, fair skin, hard
chiseled jaw, and his long-lashed eyelids that she knew concealed
the dark, chocolatey brown eyes that held so much warmth and love
in them when he looked at her.

Lois snuggled closer to him, deciding that she liked waking up
next to her husband. Husband. She smiled. That sounded even more
incredible than she had ever imagined it would.

A few moments later, as if he could feel her watching him, Clark
stirred. She watched as his eyelids fluttered open, then his eyes
met hers and he smiled softly. The love he felt for her filled
his eyes and made Lois' heart melt with sheer happiness.

"Hello, gorgeous," he said, his arm tightening around her waist.
"Do you know how beautiful you look first thing in the morning?"

Lois smiled happily. "No, but you can tell me, if you'd like."

Clark laughed. "Okay. You look very beautiful first thing in the
morning."

"Well, thank you," she said, still smiling happily. She met his
kiss halfway, and Lois was amazed at how it felt to wake up next
to this wonderful man she could now call her husband. It felt
like heaven.

When their kiss finally ended, Lois rested her head back onto his
arm. "Mmmm," she murmured dreamily. "I can't remember ever
feeling this ... wonderful."

He smiled at her, looking very much at peace with himself. "Me,
either. Last night was perfect. Even better than I ever thought
it would be."

Lois propped herself up on an elbow and stared down at him in
mock indignation. "You mean you didn't think it was going to be
as good as it was? Just what is that supposed to mean?"

Clark laughed and sat up a little and leaned forward so he could
kiss her bare shoulder gently. "There you go, jumping to
conclusions again. I just meant that it was perfect."

"Well, maybe I should show you again how perfect it can be," Lois
said with a seductive smile.

Clark's eyebrows raised at her directness, but he grinned boldly.
"I think I can handle that," he said, pulling her unclothed body
next to his and kissing her fervently while his hands began fresh
explorations.

***

Afterward, Lois lay in the crook of his arm with her head
resting against his chest, listening to his strong, steady
heartbeat. For the longest time they lay that way, in the circle
of each other's arms, just enjoying the quiet intimacy of the
moment.

Finally Lois rolled over a little so she could see the alarm
clock on the night stand next to the bed. She gasped in surprise.
"I had no idea it was so late!" she exclaimed. "No wonder I'm
getting hungry."

Clark pulled her back down against him and drew lazy circles on
her bare stomach with his fingertips. "What do you want to do for
breakfast? Do you want to go anywhere special?"

"Why don't we order room service?" Lois whispered seductively in
his ear. "That way we could stay in bed."

"Mmmm. I like the sound of that," he murmured, edging closer to
her so that he could kiss her. Several minutes later, Clark
finally pulled back from their kiss. "Lois, as much as I'm
enjoying this," he grinned at her. "If we don't get breakfast
ordered, we may miss it completely." Then, with one last kiss, he
propped himself up on an elbow and reached for the phone.

He looked over at the night stand on Lois' side of the bed and
spotted the list of hotel numbers. "Honey, would you hand me that
list, please?"

Lois looked where he was pointing and got the list for him.
Before she handed it to him, she leaned in for another kiss.
"Honey, huh? I like it!"

Clark smiled against her kiss, then sat up. "I'll remember that,"
he told her. Then he swung his feet out of the bed and sat on the
edge of it, only his waist and lap covered by the sheets. He
picked up the phone and dialed the number for room service.

Lois scooted over to him and sat up, wrapping her arm around his
waist and laying her hand on his taught stomach. She planted a
firm kiss on his shoulder blade, then pressed her ear and cheek
against his back, listening to the rumbling of his voice as he
spoke to the person on the other end of the line.

Starting to feel ignored, Lois smiled mischievously against his
back and ran her hand lightly down his stomach toward his navel.
Clark's skin burned where she touched him, and his stomach
clenched inadvertently as her hand reached yet lower.

"Lois, stop!" Clark hissed, trying his hardest not to laugh. "I
can't think when you do that."

"I know," Lois told him wickedly as she continued on.

Clark was having an incredibly tough time talking to the guy on
the phone with this kind of distraction. He tried his best to
ignore the fiery sensations starting to burn within him, and
forced himself to concentrate on his phone conversation. After a
minute, Lois heard Clark say, "Oh, ummm ... just a second." Then
he turned his head slightly so he could look over his shoulder at
Lois. "What do we want?"

Lois stopped what she was doing and stretched up so she could
nibble on his free ear. "What I want is right here," she said
provocatively.

"Loisssss," Clark reprimanded, squirming half- heartedly to get
her to stop. She giggled in his ear, knowing what a distraction
she was being, and loving the fact that she was able to have this
kind of effect on him.

Realizing that Lois wasn't about to help him, Clark asked about
the hotel's specialty breakfasts. As he tried to listen as the
guy explained to him what they were, Lois ran her hand up his
thigh, causing him to let out a unintentional gasp as he squirmed
some more. Lois giggled again, and Clark laughed softly, hissing
at her again to stop.

As there was a short pause on the phone, Clark realized,
embarrassed, that the guy he was talking to probably knew exactly
what was going on. Knowing he couldn't take much more of Lois'
teasing, Clark quickly ordered a couple of the hotel's
specialties and hung up the phone.

Clark turned to Lois and gave a look of mock exasperation. "Lois
... What are you trying to do, distract me?"

She nodded, batting her eyelashes at him playfully. "Did it
work?"

"Yeah, I'd say it worked!" Clark said, laughing. "But I think I
may have to teach you a lesson about trying to distract me when
I'm on the phone." He pushed her backwards onto the bed and
pressed himself against her, finding her lips with his own,
kissing her so passionately that they were both breathless when
they drew apart.

"Wow, if that's teaching me a lesson, maybe I need to find a lot
more to learn," Lois stated matter-of-factly.

Clark smiled in agreement. "Maybe you do. Hey, listen," Clark
told her as he climbed out of bed. "I'm going to go take a quick
shower before our food gets here. I'll be out in a flash."

And he wasn't joking. Not even a minute later, he walked out of
the bathroom, his dark hair wet and slicked back, beads of water
still on his shoulders, and wearing nothing but a towel draped
loosely around his hips.

Lois smiled at the sight. "What are you wearing?" she asked,
doing everything she could to stay where she was and restrain
herself.

Clark looked down at the towel, then back up at her. "It's a
towel. What does it look like I'm wearing?"

Not able to stand the sight of him standing before her in only a
towel a second longer, she threw any restraint she had right out
the window. She stood up and walked over to him. "Well, I think
you're wearing too much," she said, her voice low and seductive.
She grabbed a corner of the towel and tugged on it, pulling it
off of him and letting it drop to the ground in a heap at their
feet.

Standing on her tiptoes, she wrapped her arms around his neck and
kissed him, long and deeply. He pulled away so that he could
nibble on her neck, and she laughed sexily.

Before things could escalate, they were interrupted by a knock on
their door. Clark and Lois both moaned. "That must be our
breakfast," he said.

Lois wrapped her arms around Clark's waist and prevented him from
moving. "Maybe if we're really quiet, they'll go away."

Clark laughed, untangling himself from her. "Come on, Lois. We'll
have plenty of time for that later. Besides, I thought you were
hungry." He grabbed his robe from the bathroom and slipped it on.
"I promise I'll be right back." He shut the bedroom door behind
him as he went to answer the door.

Lois climbed back in bed, and tried to pull the tangled sheets up
over her, but only succeeded in partially covering herself. A
minute later, she heard the outer door shut and then the bedroom
door opened and Clark reappeared, rolling a breakfast cart ahead
of him into the room. "Anyone hungry?" he asked.

Lois sat up, clutching the sheet to her chest, and eyed the cart
filled with scrumptious looking breakfast dishes. There were
pancakes and bacon, hash browns, toast, and a myriad of fruits.
"Wow! Everything looks wonderful!"

Clark grabbed one of the breakfast trays and started piling a
little bit of everything onto it before setting it on her lap.
"Well, eat up because we have a big day ahead of us. I've
arranged for us to spend a fun-filled day around the island."

"Can't we just spend a fun-filled day here in bed?" Lois said
with a wink as she bit into a plump, ripe peach.

Clark watched as some of the peach's juices dribbled down her
chin, and he felt his resolve to carry through with the day's
outside activities quickly weakening. After a very long minute,
Clark was finally able to regain control of his faculties, and he
shook his head.

"Now, Lois," he scolded playfully. "If you wanted to stay in bed
for our entire honeymoon, why did you want to come here to
Hawaii? We could've stayed at my apartment. Besides, now that
we're here, I think we should take advantage of it and get out
and do some things."

Lois pouted playfully. "Okay, if that's what you really want to
do."

Clark laughed and sat next to her on the bed so he could give her
a deep, lingering kiss. "Don't worry," he told her, smiling, when
the kiss ended. "We'll have plenty of time for *that*, too."

Lois laughed, and wrapped her arms around his neck, pulling him
down next to her on the bed. And then, for the moment, breakfast
was forgotten.

By lunch time, Lois and Clark decided to head for the beach.
Clark, even without his use of super speed, didn't need much time
to get ready. He grabbed a T-shirt and a pair of plaid swim
trunks from the drawer and announced to Lois that he was ready.

But Lois took a little bit more time getting ready, wanting to
choose just the right thing to wear on her first day at the beach
in Hawaii. Finally she decided on her simple, black one-piece
suit with its high cut legs and revealing low- cut front. When
Clark saw her in it, he knew he'd seriously have to consider
taking several dips in the ocean to cool himself off.

On their way out of the hotel, they picked up the picnic lunch
that they had arranged to have the hotel make for them, and then
headed for the beach. They spent a relaxing couple of hours
sitting on the warm sand, talking and laughing and eating their
delicious lunch. Everything was intermingled with passionate
kisses and romantic moments when they did nothing but lay on the
beach in each other's arms.

A few hours later, when they'd decided they'd had enough of the
beach, they agreed to start on the other activities Clark had
planned.

"So what's next?" Lois asked as the packed up the remains of
their picnic lunch.

"How about parasailing?"

Lois laughed and looked up at Clark. "Why do we have to do that?"
she asked, leaning closer to him and whispering knowingly in his
ear, her breath causing a new multitude of problems. "I can go
flying just about anytime I want to. And it's free."

Clark smiled broadly. "Yeah, I guess I see your point." He gave
her a quick kiss as he picked up the picnic basket. "Let's do
something else, then."

They decided to go sight-seeing, so they spent the afternoon
mopeding around the island seeing the sights, hiking down a
multitude of paths, and most of all, just enjoying being in
love.

The day passed quickly, and soon they went back to the hotel to
get ready for dinner. When they got to the restaurant they had
made reservations at, they were seated almost immediately. The
service was great, the food was wonderful, and the company was
perfect.

Afterwards, they strolled down the darkening streets, seeing the
touristy stands and watching the locals going about their lives.
Lois sighed and leaned up against Clark, feeling happier than
she'd ever been in her entire life. "Clark, I keep wanting to
pinch myself to make sure I'm not dreaming," she told him as they
walked slowly along. "It's all so perfect, spending this time
here with you. I never imagined I could feel this much in love."

Clark smiled as he stopped her by putting his hands on her
shoulders, and turning her so that he could take her in his arms.
"I know what you mean. What we have together ... it's really
something special. And these last couple of days have made me
realize something else. I'm the luckiest man alive."

Lois smiled tenderly, feeling very touched by his revelation. She
slid her arms around his waist and held him close as he leaned
down to kiss her, tenderly at first, then more fervently. Lois
moved her hand from his lower back and let it drop down to his
behind.

As their kiss became more passionate, she let her hand move
around to the outside of his leg, then started moving it up the
inner part of his thigh. Clark laughed into her mouth, then
pulled back a bit as he dropped his hand to cover hers, stopping
its upward and inward momentum.

"Loissssss," he complained playfully. "We're in public."

Lois grinned up at him. "Then maybe we should go somewhere *not
so public*."

Clark couldn't help laughing. "Who would've known you'd be so
insatiable?"

"So now you know the real me," Lois said between kisses.
"Surprised?"

Clark nodded. "Pleasantly!" Then an evil grin crossed his face.
"How fast do you think we can get back to the hotel?"

THE END
